Beginning September 08, 2024 Reverend Brenda Carroll is appointed as Tuckaleechee UMC’s Interim Pastor in Townsend, TN. This is a part-time role as she serves us as a Retired Elder with the United Methodist Church. Brenda succeeds Rev. Janice Keebler who served for 7 months while also pastoring Campground UMC in Townsend. Brenda has a long history with the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. Brenda is an active retiree, serving both the Holston Conference and local churches in various interim capacities. She also serves as the Chair of the Holston Conference Outreach/ Advocacy Team. Before retiring in 2019 Brenda served as Co-Pastor at Maryville First United Methodist Church with her husband Larry, also a retired Elder of Holston. Before her appointment in Maryville she served as District Superintendent of the Chattanooga District. She and Larry have two adult children and grandchildren they can spoil while living in Knoxville.
